A myorelaxing splint is a custom-made appliance that relaxes the jaw muscles and takes the strain off the jaw joint. It's used when you have jaw pain, clicking in the joint, tension headaches or signs of clenching and grinding.

How it works

The splint is made from an impression or a scan of your teeth and fits your bite precisely. Worn as the doctor prescribes, usually at night, it lets the muscles relax and the jaw settle into a comfortable position. The doctor checks and adjusts it at follow-up visits.
