Ribbond

Ribbond is a thin, strong ribbon of reinforced fibre that the dentist bonds to the teeth with composite. It's used to splint loose teeth together, for example when gum disease has weakened them, to strengthen large composite restorations, and to make a quick, metal-free temporary bridge.

How it works

The dentist cleans the teeth, places the fibre along their surface and covers it with tooth-coloured composite. The splint is thin, almost invisible and doesn't require drilling the neighbouring teeth. Everything is done in a single visit.
