"I've often thought about what my life's purpose is, and the answer is always the same: to help people! That is exactly why I became a doctor, and ever since, I have the chance every day to put my knowledge and experience to use for my patients, and to contribute to their recovery."
Nino recommends:
"Prevention is very important. I would love for us to become more aware of the role of prevention and its positive effect on our lives. We should start thinking about maintaining oral health from early childhood."
Q&A
What principle guides you when working with a patient?
The main and most important principle that I always keep in mind is "do no harm." After that, of course, comes the patient's recovery.
Which professional skills do you consider your strengths?
To properly guide treatment, it's important to develop the correct and most appropriate treatment plan. I believe this is the area where I am particularly strong, and it's ultimately what allows patients to preserve their own natural teeth.
Which modern technologies and methods do you use?
I am guided by the recommendations and guidelines adopted by the European Federation of Periodontology.
For teeth cleaning and treating gum inflammation, I use a Swiss protocol and device.
During surgical treatment, I use modern, top-quality surgical instruments, magnifying loupes, and the least invasive flap techniques, which make the rehabilitation process easier for patients and ultimately result in a highly aesthetic outcome.
